Bake Sale!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007
Morning Cruisers!
This post is to remind you about the bake sale this Saturday, January 27, at the Giant on Rano Boulevard from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (or until everything is sold; whichever comes first).
We will be meeting at the church at 9:15 a.m. then heading over to the Giant.  We will be setting up in our usual spot in the lobby–where the doors open and close very often.  Since the weather isn’t exactly forecasted to be warm this Saturday, bundle up!  (Preferably in layers.)  Bring a camp chair if you’d like, and bring baked goods because you have to :-)  In addition, bring a lunch or some money to buy a grocery-store lunch.
What are we supposed to remember?
Baked good
Camp chair
Warm clothes
Lunch
Meet at church at 9:15 a.m.
Bake sales are sweet.
He he.
Happy Colts Are the AFC Champions day ;-)
Thanks to Lauren for setting this bake sale up.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

For the Saturday March 24 CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministries) meeting in New Milford at 10:00.  The council will be discussing BishBash. I know how much BishBash means to you, so we are making this an official youth group event so that your voices can be heard! Recruit your friends, and see if we can get the youth to outnumber the adults! The more the merrier.

Get a good night’s sleep that Friday, because we will be leaving the church at 8:00 a.m. that Saturday morning.  The meeting is at New Milford UMC.  We will most likely be returning to Apalachin between 1:00 and 2:00, so we’ll stop somewhere super healthy like Wendy’s to get lunch :-)

God bless,

Tara

Kingdom Bound update

Monday, January 8th, 2007

After the planning meeting Sunday the youth group leaders stayed after to further discuss Kingdom Bound.  We have decided to offer one last chance to those who would like to go to KB, from August 5-9, this summer.  For those who would like to go, a  nonrefundable deposit of $50.00 is due  to Stacy  on  Sunday  January 14.  That’s next  Sunday. Checks can be made out to Park Terrace Youth Fund.

If you do not have the deposit next Sunday, you will be put on a waiting list–meaning you will be going only if someone drops out.  Only if you bring the $50.00 next Sunday will you be on the list of those going to Kingdom Bound.  Once we have all the deposits in, we will figure out if any additional cost will have to be paid by the late additions.

If you commit to going (by giving Stacy $50.00), you cannot drop out without paying the rest of the $150+ fee.  We are hoping to do enough fund-raisers so that we have to pay only $50 each for the entire event, but your being covered by the funds raised requires your presence and work at these fund-raisers.

For more information go to www.kingdombound.org.  It’s a pretty sweet event for only $150, let alone the mere $50.00 we hope to pay.

To those of you who gave your committment, with parental consent, on December 17, your $50.00 is due Sunday the 14th as well.  Please have it to us then if not before :-)

God bless,
Tara

P.S. This has been e-mailed to you as well.  It’s your responsibility to check your e-mail and this youth blog for youth group information!  And you always have our phone numbers if you have any questions.

Just Wondering..=]

Does anyone know when our planning meeting is? Maybe the date hasn’t been determined? Once its figured out could someone please tell me? Thanks :)

Tara, do you have the pictures from the One Foot Forward Concert? I know they are are on your phone and that they cost money to get them on the computer so I don’t know if you have them lol

Spaghetti with Santa

Friday, December 15th, 2006

This is just a reminder of Spagetti with Santa THIS SATURDAY NIGHT since I (Sara) won’t be there,  I don’t know too much about it, such as times and things like that but I do know that we need as much help as we can get!!!  I think Stacy would really really appriciate it if you could tell her if your going or not.  I’m not sure if theres going to be a lockin or not, so maybe someone else can comment back on everything with the times, etc. :):):)

Also…

Some people were talking about maybe having a New Year’s Eve party at someone’s house.  I still have to ask my mom, does anyone know if they could have it at their house? If you can, please tell me or Lauren Asap :)

 Thanks! :) Sara

It only takes a spark

Saturday, December 9th, 2006

This is just a reminder that this Sunday evening, December 10, is the District Youth Candlelight Service at 7:00 p.m. at Boulevard UMC in Binghamton.

We’ll be meeting at the church at 6:00 p.m. to carpool.  Our very own Maggie Darrow will be performing the Christmas play at the service, so the more PT Cruisers there to cheer her on the merrier!

In addition, we have a very important task for Sunday school this week.  Many of you already know what food we will be making, but if not, here is your hint: John 6:35.

See you Sunday!

THE YOUTH GROUP DANCE THAT WAS PLANNED FOR THIS FRIDAY NIGHT IS CANCELLED!!!

 THATS RIGHT, CANCELLED :(

Me and Laluren were thinking MAYBE before the One Foot Forward concert, we could have a ‘mini’dance’ before we go to pump ourselves up. Not a long one, just like an half in a half or something. Tell me what you guys think ?

Lend me some sugar; I am your neighbor!

cookies.jpg

As you know, this Sunday at 2:00 (after Confirmation class) we will be making Christmas cookies to give to a local nursing home(s).

The youth leaders will provide dough ingredients and frosting.  Your job is to bring decorations.  Sprinkles, dots, mini M&Ms, etc.  Be creative!  Bring some of your cool Christmas cookie cutters too!

Mmm sugar.
