What’s the deal with the Dawson’s Creek reference? Pacey looks like he’s 10 in this picture. And why are they sitting on an upside down boat?

Dawson, Pacey, Joey, and Jen are representative of a typical youth group, duh! And the boat? Well, if the nursery school’s Noah’s Ark tipped over after a storm, the youth group would of course take pictures on the upside-down boat.
To quote Dr. John Dorian, “It’s like they’ve been watching our lives and just put them on TV.”
