MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Wednesday, January 17th, 2007For the Saturday March 24 CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministries) meeting in New Milford at 10:00. The council will be discussing BishBash. I know how much BishBash means to you, so we are making this an official youth group event so that your voices can be heard! Recruit your friends, and see if we can get the youth to outnumber the adults! The more the merrier.
Get a good night’s sleep that Friday, because we will be leaving the church at 8:00 a.m. that Saturday morning. The meeting is at New Milford UMC. We will most likely be returning to Apalachin between 1:00 and 2:00, so we’ll stop somewhere super healthy like Wendy’s to get lunch
God bless,
TaraÂ

ACT Dinner Update
Saturday, January 13th, 2007There will be an informational meeting immeditately after church on Sunday, January 21, 2007. The main course will be hots dogs and chili. Jeff Patricia graciously offered to purchase the hot dogs. We need to find 7-8 people that are willing to make chili for us. We also need to decide what other dishes we will be serving with this meal. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if you know of someone willing to make chili! Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
One Foot Forward
Friday, January 12th, 2007Here are some blurry phone pictures from the One Foot Forward concert in Elmira. Enjoy!

<—Yeah, you can’t really see this one….But here it is!
Good Question!
Thursday, January 11th, 2007There has been a question regarding the new form requirements. The form will only be required when there is money involved. For example: Kingdom Bound is expensive and requires a deposit = form required. Although another Committee is paying for the New York City mission trip, we still need to plan costs by how many people are going = form required. There is no cost associated to us to serve the ACT dinner on February 1 = form NOT required. I hope this helps clear up some confusion.

New Phone Tree
Wednesday, January 10th, 2007The leaders felt left out so we revised the phone tree to include our numbers.  Check your email where I have attached a new copy and print it for your records. I will be handing out copies this Sunday at church.Â
*NOTE - Due to the celebrity status of the youth group, your phone numbers will not be published on this website. Please do not contact the tabloids to have our numbers published.
Thank you.

NEW REQUIRED FORM!
Wednesday, January 10th, 2007The youth leaders have created a new youth group form that will be effective immediately (I WILL need one for events already scheduled: NYC, Kingdom Bound, etc.). Here’s how it’s going to work: When we schedule an event, this form needs to make it to your parents, get signed, and returned to me, by the deadline set for that event. By signing and returning this to me, you are indicating that you are aware of an event and that you ARE going to be attending that event. If you know you cannot go to an event, please DO NOT give me a signed form as that will indicate to me that you are going, your name will be added to the list of attendees and you will be expected to contribute whatever money is due for that event. Likewise, if I do not have a form signed by your parents by the deadline for that event, your name will not be on the list of attendees and you will not be going. It’s very important that you take the initiative when we schedule events and have this form signed and back to me by the deadline. I want ALL of the youth to attend ALL of the events because I think it’s way more fun that way. I know you guys can ALL handle this new responsibility. Isn’t it fun being an adult?! Anyway, I think this will alleviate a lot of confusion and miscommunication.
Congratulations!
Tuesday, January 9th, 2007Congratulations everybody on your Confirmation and Baptisms
