This sounds like a really FUN idea--but make sure you have both a female and a male chaperone who can be there at 5:00 (for example, Stacy works until 5:00 and may not be able to make it until 5:30).

In order for this to be an official youth group event, an adult male needs to join Stacy in her chaperonage. It's one of those crazy keep-the-youth-safe-always rules.

So try to find a male chaperone, and maybe push the time back a half-hour. And I know the church would love to have you dance at their dance too (it'll probably get people out of their seats!) That's another super idea.
